I called six (6) local Anchorage Plumbing and Heating companies today (1 Nov 2018). I needed a quick simple estimate to replace a hydronic garage heater in a two car garage. Diamond was the only company that found time in the day to send some one to my house. Out of the other five companies I called, one company scheduled me for tomorrow (2 Nov), another one for 28 Nov, and the rest neither took calls or returned calls. The gentleman called prior to stopping by to let me know he was in route. He checked out the current hydronic heater setup, asked questions, and quickly determined that I didn’t need a replacement. He troubleshot the existing set-up and saved me a ton of money. His honesty, integrity, and personality tell the story of just were Diamond Heating is currently and where they will be in the future. Any company would be lucky to have individuals as outstanding as this gentlemen. It’s rare when you find that kind of quality in an individual and in a company, especially today. I was having difficulty installing a new Nest thermostat because my heating system only used two wires and I needed a “common” to power the Nest. I contacted Jack at Diamond Heating and he was very accommodating and scheduled a technician named Robby to come out first thing in the morning. The next morning Robby called to ask if he could arrive 10 minutes early for our 8:00 scheduled appointment. That is so refreshing when people show up on time. I was very impressed. Robbie was extremely knowledgeable and very polite. He reviewed the issue with me, discussed his game plan and had the new thermostat correctly powered in less than an hour. I give Diamond Heating FIVE STARS and will be sure to use them when I have a heating issue and I will be sure to recommend the company to all of my friends!Blake
|This is my first time using Diamond. I received quotes from three heating suppliers for a new furnace and hot water heater. I chose Diamond and am glad I did. From the quote to the install to the follow-up, everything was timely, knowledgeable, and courteous. This is a very welcome surprise about a heating and plumbing company. Diamond’s products and services are reasonably priced. Don’t compare on price alone, because in this field you get what you pay for.|
I recently needed repairs on my furnace. The service I received from the technicians up to and including the management was fantastic. Having a older heating system presented some unique challenges. We finally decided to upgrade our 20 year old furnace with a Trane model that’s super efficient and operates at very low noise levels. Hats off to Joe and crew for exceptional pricing and workmanship, this was not an easy job as we added a new heating zone, air scrubbers, and WiFi operations. Last month (July 2018) Diamond installed a new IBC boiler and passive hot water tank in our 37-year-old house on the Lower Hillside. The salesman, Joe Dudley, was friendly, extremely well-informed, and helpful after the installation in patiently teaching me the ins and outs of the new system.
The installation was extremely professional and superbly neat — almost a work of art! Kudos to Robby V. and his helper, Keith.
The telephone staff is very friendly and helpful as well.
And here’s something special: last Sunday, during a windstorm spawned by a waning Pacific typhoon, we had a brief power outage, most likely with a surge. The boiler shut down and could not be restarted. I called Diamond, the answering service picked up on the second ring, and within 10 minutes I got a call from Keith (the technician). I described the problem, he thought for a moment, then said he would be right over. 30 minutes later, he arrived and fixed the problem. That is exemplary service for normal business hours on a weekday — and this was a Sunday.
In Alaska, a heating system is the heart of the house — the most important “appliance.” I feel that we are in good hands with Diamond.Oliver Korshin

Had a great experience dealing with Joe and Herman. Both were very professional Joe had all the tools to give me a estimate for a new furnace along with various options etc. and was able to print it out on site. Herman showed up and installed the new furnace with all the options that I wanted. Herman had all the tools and knowledge and skill to get the job completed in one day. In 2009, your company installed a 95% efficient new gas furnace and on-demand gas water heater at our residence. Your technicians did an excellent, prompt and professional installation. The system continues to work perfectly with no problems. I wanted to personally thank you for the great choice in selecting these units for us and the excellent and conscientious work done by the technicians.
I thought you might be interested to know how much energy and cost savings we have realized since the installation. I keep yearly energy records for our house. For 8 years prior to the install we used an average of 8904 kwH of electricity and 1773 cu ft of gas. In 2010, we only used 7835 kwH of electricity, and 1217 cu ft of gas. At our last year’s rate of $.89/ kwH and $.135 per cu ft of gas, we saved $144.32 on electricity, and $494.84 on gas last year ($639.16 total). As you can see we are totally happy with our new system and continue to refer our friends to your company. Thank you very much!John Sarvis
